Creating Links
Find out how to choose an action and an integration and configure your first Link
Action Links provides a wide range of actions for a variety of use cases. They are also designed to be incredibly flexible, with the ability to configure almost every aspect of your Links, from how it functions to how it looks.
Head to My Links and click Create new Link
Choose a product from the list of available systems
Choose an action from the list of available use cases
Choose an integration (or integrations, if the action required more than one) from those you've already added to your account; if you haven't added any yet, find out how to add one
Configure the settings for your Action Link; you can find out more about how to configure specific actions in the relevant section for that product.
Link settings
These are settings that are generic to all Links, and allow you to configure access to the link itself.
Link name
Give your Link a name so that you can find it from the list of Links on the My Links page of your account. Note, this name will also be used as the 'title' for the Action Link page created and will therefore display in the user's browser tab and will be used by Google and other search engines when indexing the page.
Link URL identifier
This is a unique identifier for your Link and must be different to the identifiers for other Links in your account. It is also used as the 'slug' in the URL for your Link (e.g. my-organisation.action.link/this-is-the-url-identifier) and must therefore only contain letters, numbers and hyphens.
Published status
This determined whether your Link is publicly accessible. When set to 'Unpublished', your Action Link will not be available to access either via the default action.link subdomain or any custom domains you may have configured.
Customise Link content
These settings are available for most Links, and enable you to add and customise the content of your Links.
Back link label
Where available, this enables you to display a back button in the top left corner of your Links and specify the label, e.g. to direct users back to your main website. When left blank the field back button will be omitted.
Back link URL
Where available, this enables you to specify the URL to which users should redirected when clicking the back button.
