Manage Preferences
Allow users to see the status of their Contact Permissions and Interests, and opt-in or -out.
The Manage preferences action is similar to the Subscribe action, but enables users to view the current status of their Contact Permissions and/or Interests as well as updating them. Unlike the Subscribe action, users can also actively opt out of Contact Permissions.

'Unsubscribe from all' preferences
In many areas it's a legal requirement to make it as straightforward as possible for a user to unsubscribe from marketing communications. An 'unsubscribe from all' button will display at the bottom of the list of preferences you configure, but it's necessary for you to provide the IDs of the Contact Permissions and/or Interests that this should update the status of.
Identifying the user
Action Links uses an approach called incremental authorisation to give users the ability to access a limited subset of content and control without logging in. Incremental authorisation is the concept of incrementally increasing the level of authentication required from a user as the sensitivity of the content they can access increases.
In the case of the Manage preferences action for Tessitura, there are two methods of authentication that can be used:
Logging in: A user can log in using their Tessitura login.
Email address and Constituent ID: The user's email address and Constituent ID can be provided as parameters in the URL.
To give users access to manage their preferences by requiring them to log in, create a separate Action Link with the Log in or register action, or enable session sharing with TNEW.
To authenticate users using an email address and Constituent ID, provide these as parameters in the URL for email
and constituentId
, for example:
